(More customer reviews)I purchased an earlier version of this mower a few years ago which had a 60 volt, removable, battery.The first mower that arrived had a defective selector switch, as did its replacement.The second replacement (third mower) was sent from the manufacturer (who dunned me return shipping for the two defective mowers), and it worked quite well...until a few months later when mowing next to the curb I lifted the front of the mower to turn it around and the front wheels came off and took off down the street.After having the wheels reattached (according to the repair shop, a crucial part had been left off the wheel assembly by the manufacturer), the mower functioned wonderfully...until the battery died last fall and I tried to buy a replacement and couldn't.Apparently, the manufacturer had discontinued the mower and no longer sold replacement batteries or parts.I tried to give the mower to the repair shop who had fixed the wheels-off problem, thinking they might be able to cannibalize it for parts, but they laughed.And laughed.And said "no thank you," and laughed some more.Although I was able to dispose of the dead battery at a battery "recycle" center, the mower itself resides at my city's landfill (so much for going Green).If you're thinking of going Remington, don't.
