(More customer reviews)I was very excited to use these blades with my Scotts S1642 (made by JDeere) mower.Unfortunately they do not fit due to the teeth that flare up to circulate the grass.I looked them up on the Manufacturer website (http://www.oregonchain.com/OEP/oep_blades.htm) and it looked like they were a fit.They made a grinding noise when I engaged the blades.I had some doubts so I only engaged slightly and therefore prevented any damage to the deck.I picked this one because the mfg site said the 90-395 (other model) was not compatible with 42C decks.I don't know how to tell if I have a 42C so I picked this version which was listed under Scotts.

PLEASE NOTE:I am giving one star because the fit wasn't right for my mower.I hear they are great blades but I won't be able to test them.
